Develop Leaders

Jesus made an audacious claim to his disciples: that it was better for them for him to go away, because they would do even greater things through the power of the Spirit than if he had stayed (John 16:7; 14:12). That claim is no less true today. Jesus’ vision of the church is not an audience gathered around a few anointed leaders, but an army of leaders sent in the power of the Spirit to take the gospel to the world.

Our goal is to develop thousands of such leaders to leverage their lives for God’s mission in all domains of society, from the church to the marketplace. These training opportunities are designed to help make that happen.

International Church Planting

Has God called you overseas? The International Church Planting Cohort provides intentional training and development for those who are preparing to move overseas for two years or more in the next one to two years. First Impressions (High Capactity Volunteers)

The First Impressions Cohort is an eight month round-table group designed to bring high capacity volunteer leaders together from each campus. Every month we’ll read through a different book that feeds the guest services philosophy at the Summit. Those books will serve as a springboard to practical conversations and best practices to help you welcome guests and point them to the gospel. (Prerequisite: service on a First Impressions Team, recommendation from your campus FI Director). To inquire, email Danny Franks at dfranks@summitrdu.com.
